THE GRAVE IS BLOOMING!

Back in May, we started planting a garden. The Landlords were not too happy because we dug up a patch of dirt right in the middle of the backyard. At first, it resembled a newly dug grave more than anything else.

About 10 days passed and we got very excited because there was some growth

The weeks passed and the tiny growths became taller growths. However, they didn't do much else except get taller and taller.

Until last night! If you look closely, you can see we're beginning to get color here now! The gladioli are finally starting to bloom. When they all go, it's going to be spectacular! Well worth a few square feet of sod:)

There are about 46 of them in the bed right now - can't wait!!! Unfortunately, the dahlias at the other end of the bed have yet to show their faces. Hopefully, they're just late bloomers. (ha! I just kill me sometimes!)
